10 REC Panel PV Modules with 9.5kWh battery storage

We installed a 4.05kWp PV system which consists of 10 x REC black Twin Peak monocrystalline 405W solar modules with Solar Edge inverter. The battery system is made up of a GivEnergy Charge controller with GivEnergy 9.5kWh battery. REC are a Norwegian company which make high quality solar PV modules. They have manufacturing plants in Norway and Singapore. The Norwegian plants run off hydro power!! This makes the carbon footprint of manufacturing the these panel very low indeed. They are also very robust and come with a 25 year manufacturer’s guarantee.

Pest protection with REC PV modules

The system was protected with pest prevention mesh to keep birds and animals from nesting underneath the solar panel array. This is an on roof system using hook stops and Renusol Variosol+ mounting rail system which is an MCS accredited system.

In just over 6 weeks, in some of the worst weather we have seen this year, the system has already produced 172.31kWh.
