EV Charge Point Installation in Wokingham
This Zappi EV charger made by Myenergi was installed on the garage wall of this property. We added a new circuit and a surge protector.
With this electric vehicle installation the Zappi charger allows the car to be charged directly from the properties solar panels, using the Eco Mode setting. It can operate as a standard EV charger, but it also has optional charging modes to utilise 100% green energy generated from Solar PV (or wind generation). This increases the Return On Investment (ROI) for solar panels and electric car.
The Zappi has 3 modes our you can choose:
- Eco – The charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power consumption elsewhere in the home. Charging will continue until the vehicle isfully charged, even if power is drawn from the grid.
- Eco+ Where charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power consumption elsewhere in the home. Charging will pause if there is too much imported power, continuing only when there is surplus free power available.
- Fast – In this mode, the vehicle will be charged at maximum power. This is just like an ordinary Mode 3 charging point.
The Zappi also comes with remote control and a monitoring add-on option. The Myenergi app allows you to access and control your device from anywhere in the world with graphs that you can monitor your import/export information.
